External Description: Summary

All Native Group is looking to fill the position of Business Development Project Coordinator. The Business Development (BD) Project Coordinator works closely with and provides support to the BD Executive Director. Requirements for this role will include monitoring business development avenues of information; researching contracts, customers, and companies; providing support and analyses; and supporting strategic marketing activities. This includes supporting networking activities and events; identifying and researching opportunities; supporting market research, trend analysis and competitive assessments; providing critical business market research and analysis of data. He/she works with the Capture team by researching and qualifying business opportunities to include federal Requests for Proposals, Requests for Information, Sources Sought, and Task Order requests. This position supports the BD team through all stages of the business development lifecycle.

Essential Functions

  • Planning and managing industry conference meetings and networking opportunities, events and meetings by identifying, coordinating and assembling and submitting requirements for the events, communicating assignments and schedules working with the Executive Director and Capture Managers, coordinating mailing lists and establishing contacts/customer reach back after sessions, maintaining events calendar management, and providing logistical support for events to include booth management and customer interfacing, shipping materials, planning receptions/network/special activity meetings for ANG during events, etc... Assisting with the setup, facilitation and completion of marketing events
  • Project tasks also include creating customer briefings/presentations, targeted customer alerts, blogs, BD newsletter updates, and Assisting with developing and managing content and social media marketing projects and activities/targeted focus projects with ED
  • Project coordinator tasks to include assisting with coordination of marketing and communications projects including developing/assisting with the preparation of marketing collateral and working with Graphics team overseeing the design and graphics of marketing materials
  • Write/edit content for different platforms such as social media, website, and press releases working with ED and BEM/ Create, proofread, and edit copy ensuring consistent voice
  • Maintains inventory and directory of BD marketing and support materials making sure all resources are accurate and current while coordinating new material creation when needed
  • Assists with drafting, editing and online filing of small business and Government agency research requests and ensuring that ANG companies are input and regularly updated with new companies, as needed, in Government SB systems
  • Supports various gate reviews to include scheduling, supporting presentation development, and research assistance.
  • Administrative support to ED including expense report submissions
  • Formatting and desktop publishing skills needed to support variety of activities to include developing graphs, charts, and other visual aids for documents
  • May help identify and research new business opportunities using tools such as GovWin IQ, SAM.GOV, FPDS, Government Agency Websites, Technomile and other online tools.
  • May support competitor analysis and similar documentation and research requests working with capture managers.
  • Provides research and writing support for RFI, sources sought and white paper development
  • Generates reports from Salesforce.
  • Research new business opportunities and support existing business within Federal Agencies.
  • Maintain corporate intelligence on potential customers, teaming partners, and competitors
  • Support and provide relevant information for meetings with government personnel to establish and maintain relationships
  • Maintains BD SharePoint site and repository of business development information.
  • Inputs, maintains, and tracks business data within the CRM, managing system data and features at an Administrator level.
  • Collaborates with individuals at all levels, including senior leadership, providing input to reports and other deliverables.

Competencies
  • Solid organizational skills and detail oriented.
  • Experience with U.S. Federal Sector Business Development is useful
  • Familiarity with necessary defense contracting tools, including but not limited to: GovWin IQ, Bloomberg, BETA SAM.GOV, FPDS, and similar experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of government solicitation documents, including standard RFP structure
  • Excellent problem solving, organization and time management skills
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to organize and present ideas clearly and logically.
  • Analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to manage and prioritize time between regular duties, ad hoc requests, and higher-level corporate priorities/initiatives
  • Business Travel for conferences and customer meetings, as needed up to 20% is expected.
  • Must have a professional, upbeat attitude and have outstanding customer service aptitude
  • The ability to stay calm under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Provide additional administrative support to BD leadership as required.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
  • S. Citizenship is required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or other complimentary discipline or equivalent experience
  • Experience with MS Office suite and ability to create, format, and manipulate Word documents, Excel spreadsheets and develop PowerPoint presentations and SharePoint
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Research and analytical skills
  • Team Player capable of working within a collaborative environment.
  • Administrative work ability, preferably in a sales or marketing environment, or a combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the functions of the job
  • Self-starter who exhibits attention to detail and expert organization skills.
  • Strong customer service/customer facing skills.
Supervisory Responsibility

None required for this position.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Must be able to set up trade show booth materials and responsible for shipping to various locations when necessary
  • Occasionally moves about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
  • Expresses or exchanges ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly or quickly.
  • Frequently moves some equipment up to 40 pounds.
  • Must be able to work indoor conditions 90% of the time.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and may require overtime occasionally. Evening and weekend hours required, as required by business need.

Travel

Travel is expected up to 20% of the time for this position.

Experience
